Three killed, 8 injured in Siraha accident



SIRAHA: Three persons traveling on a van were killed after they were hit by a truck at Padariya along the East-West Highway on Monday.

Police said eight others were injured in the mishap, adding that three among them are in critical condition.

Those killed in the mishap have been identified as Ganapati Mahara of Golbazar-8, Bhulmaya Lama of Dhangadi-9 and Bataiyadevi Morchi of Bariyapatti-3.

Seriously injured have been taken to Biratnagar for treatment. Others are undergoing treatment at local health facilities.

District Traffic Police Office, Lahan said truck, Na 1 Kha 2415, and van, Na 1 Ja 7454, were involved in the accident.
