Entire world is suffering for want of peace, says PM (with video)



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said the entire world has been suffering for want of peace.

In a video message issued on the occasion of Buddha Jayanti today, Prime Minister Oli said the teachings of Buddha would be more relevant in the context of world peace.

“Innocent four children became the victims of bomb explosions and lost their lives in our country few days ago. My heartfelt condolence goes to them,” Prime Minister Oli said in the message.

Meanwhile, he has urged one and all to take precaution saying that Coronavirus pandemic has wreaked havoc across the world.

“The number of infection and the death rate is ever increasing. I would like to pay tributes to all those who lost their lives to the novel virus at this critical juncture and wish speedy recovery for those who have been undergoing treatment for the novel virus,” reads the message.

The heath condition has not been so much horrifying in our country thanks to the prompt actions taken by the government, said PM urging the people to be aware as the situation might get further worse in the days ahead.

Meanwhile, he has urged all the Nepali brothers and sisters to light lamps at home and institutes at 7 pm today to mark the Buddha Jayanti for the world peace by offering tributes to all the departed souls and wishing speedy recovery to the injured.
