Number of Pak-backed terrorists increases at launch pad



NEW DELHI: Pakistan has currently doubled the number of terrorists in a bid to infiltrate them into Kashmir from its 14 operational launch pads.

A senior Indian official said there are around 450 terrorists affiliated to various Pakistan-backed terrorist groups at the launch pads.

Reports said those 450 terrorists include 129 from the Jaish-e-Mohammed, 244 from the Lashkar-e-Taiba, and 60 from the Hizbul Mujahideen.

Fringe groups including the Al Badr make up for the rest, reports said.

According to a new estimate, Pakistan has currently doubled the presence of terrorists at the launch pads in about a week.

Indian media reports have said that there are about 230 terrorists at the launch pad awaiting to be infiltrated into Kashmir.

These terrorists have been minted from the several camps run in Pakistan – particularly in its occupied territories.

According to intelligence inputs, out of the 16 terror camps in the Pakistani soil, while 11 are functioning in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, two in Punjab, Pakistan and three in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa region.

Three other camps have been dedicated to train Lashkar-e-Taiba while one to train Hizbul Mujahideen group.

Meanwhile, in the KPK region, Hizbul Mujahideen operates two camps and the Jaish-e-Mohammed runs one.

Similarly, the LeT and JeM share one camp each in Pakistan’s Punjab province.

It has been estimated that there is a presence of over 240 terrorists in Kashmir including some 100 foreigners.
