Nepal launches Covid-19 app



KATHMANDU: Ministry of Health and Population on Sunday launched an application to test Covid-19 with fingertips. If someone has suspicion of the disease, he/she can enter the data to find whether he/she is infected with coronavirus or not.

According to Dr Bikash Devkota, spokesperson at Ministry of Health, anyone can enter the specific data to self-verify the infection. The ministry will provide the suggestion of what to do after analyzing the data that according to the user’s entry.

Ministry said that the application is developed to identify the victims from the pandemic virus.

An ‘interactive’ app can also provide information about the nearest hospital.

Similarly, the app includes all the information issued by the government and the ministry about Covid-19.

Inaugurating the app, Health Minister Bhanu Bhakta Dahal said that the government is establishing treatment centers with a well-equipped lab in all provinces.

Similarly, with the help of the app, the government can reach to the victims and can be taken to the hospital immediately, he added.
