58 tourists airlifted from Pokhara

POKHARA: A total of 58 tourists marooned following a weeklong lockdown have been airlifted to Kathmandu on Friday.

According to Pokhara Airport, they were taken to Kathmandu through a chartered flight of Yeti Airlines.

French and German nationals are among the tourists rescued today.

Earlier on Thursday, the French Embassy in Kathmandu had flown altogether 59 French tourists from Pokhara to Kathmandu in a chartered aircraft of Buddha Air.
