15 Nepalis stranded in Saudi Arabia appeal for rescue

KATHMANDU: Fifteen Nepali migrant workers stranded in Saudi Arabia have appealed to the government for their rescue.

Talking to Khabarhub over the telephone, Chiranjibi Kumar Chaube, one among those stranded, said they asked the Nepali Embassy in Saudi Arabia for help but they did get any response from the government.

“Three Nepali migrant workers including me are in a place while the remaining are living at some distance,” said Chaube, adding, “We are in dire need of rescue as we are running out money and food.”

He said, “We have been stranded without food for 15 days. We request the government to rescue us as soon as possible.”

The government has suspended all the international flights to minimize the spread of coronavirus.
