KATHMANDU: Amidst the pile of stringent orders, the government has been issuing to address the hazards set by COVID-19, Prime Minister KP Oli is addressing the nation today.

PM Oli is going to address the nation at 6 pm on Friday.

Keeping in mind the doctors’ advice to avoid mass as the measure of avoiding prospective infection, the PM is said to be mulling over addressing the nation through Nepal Television and Radio Nepal.

The PM had gone his second renal transplant surgery on March 4 and is advised not to expose to mass or gatherings as he has become highly vulnerable due to surgery.

It should be noted that the government earlier this week issued an order restricting the mass gathering of more than 25 people.

The government has also directed the shut-down of movie theaters, cultural centers, including others to minimize the possible risk of the coronavirus which has spread across the world.

A meeting of the high-level committee led by Deputy Prime Minister Ishwor Pokhrel last Wednesday made the decision to this effect.

The committee directed for shutting down of theaters, playgrounds, gyms, health clubs, museums, swimming pools, among others until April 30.
