Speaker Sapkota intensifies consultations on the fate of House session

KATHMANDU: A day after the government restricted mass gatherings, Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR) Agni Prasad Sapkota has intensified consultations with concerned sides on to decide the fate of HoR sessions.

Speaker is currently discussing the issue with party chief whips, whips, committee chairpersons, and parliament secretariat to reach a conclusion to this effect.

Sources said that Speaker will postpone tomorrow’s session of the HoR by pasting a notice.

The government had on Wednesday instructed people to limit gatherings and meetings up to 25 people only.
