Tiruwa, who hurled a shoe at Dahal, released

KATHMANDU: Ratan Tiruwa, who was arrested after he hurled a shoe at Nepal Communist Party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal at a program in Kathmandu recently, has been released on a bail amount of Rs 500.

Tiruwa was remanded to seven days in custody.

Tiruwa had hurled a shoe at Dahal at Rastriya Sabha Griha on March 1 while he was coming back to his seat after giving his speech at a program.

The shoe, however, did not hit Dahal. Police had then arrested the youth.
