Issuing a statement before leaving China after the government decided to recall him, Ambassador Paudyal claimed that his tenure was important from economic, social and political perspectives.

“I have not misused my position for personal benefits,” he asserted in the statement.

A meeting of Council of Ministers had decided to recall Paudyal within 15 days and had picked former Minister Mahendra Bahadur Pandey to replace him.
