Minister Gyawali denies statute amendment debate

PALPA: Minister for Foreign Affairs and leader of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Pradeep Kumar Gyawali has said that this was not the right time for holding debates on the constitution amendment.

Minister Gyawali said that this was the time for the constitution’s implementation, not its amendment.

At a program organized by the Tansen Municipal Committee of NCP here on Saturday, Gyawali argued that the first priority of the time was to make a prosperous Nepal and added that debates on the constitution amendment were not appropriate.

On the occasion, Minister Gyawali argued that the government worked hard for the broader acceptability of the constitution even by bringing the critics on board the mainstream.
