KATHMANDU: Union Home Ministry of India announced that only four Indo-Nepal border check-posts will remain operational until further notice.

The ministry further informed that the government has decided to inspect international traffic through land immigration check-posts and the government has already set up 37 such check-posts.

The government has decided to allow human traffic in  Raxaul (Indo-Nepal border), Banbasa (Uttarakhand, Indo-Nepal), Sunauli (Indo-Nepal border), Ranigunj (West Bengal, Indo-Nepal border), Mankachhar in Assam, Mizoram, Indo-Myanmar border, Agartala (Indo-Bangladesh),  and Chadarbandha (West Bengal, Indo-Bangladesh border).

It was also informed that for citizens of Bhutan and Nepal, visa-free entry to India will continue.

Besides,  Indo-Bangladesh passenger trains and buses will remain suspended till April 15 in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.

The ministry further informed that the number coronavirus positive cases in India have climbed to 82.

The ministry further informed that the government has decided to inspect international traffic through land immigration check-posts and the government has already set up 37 such check-posts.
