KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba today instructed the ministers of his ‘shadow cabinet’ to monitor minutely all corruption-related activities of the government.

Addressing the first-ever meeting of the ‘shadow cabinet’ on Sunday, Deuba issued a strict directive to the NC leaders to be extremely vigilant on the activities of the Prime Minister KP Oli-led government’s activities.

The party had formed the shadow cabinet on May 20 last year in a bid to closely look into the government’s activities.

Today’s meeting of the shadow cabinet held at the parliamentary party office in Singha Durbar decided to investigate the corruption cases against the government.

NC parliamentary party leader of the National Assembly (NA) Surendra Raj Pandey informed that today’s meeting also discussed the contemporary politics and the government’s performances, among others.
