Special Court summons 34 individuals on Lalita Niwas land grab case



KATHMANDU: The Special Court has summoned 34 defendants of the 175 individuals of the Lalita Niwas land grab scam case in the next 15 days.

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) had filed cases against 175 individuals on February 5.

The Court has asked them to report in the next 15 days, according to Deputy Registrar at the Court, Indra Kumar Khadka.

Among then 34 summoned, while 24 have been demanded a fine and jail sentence by the CIAA, the other 10 were indicted for the purpose of reclaiming the land.
