US grants visitor visa to 49.30 percent Nepali applicants



WASHINGTON: The USA granted a visa to around half of the Nepali applicants for visitors visas.

As per the data released by the Bureau of Consular Affairs under the US Department of State, 49.30 percent of Nepalis were granted a visa.

According to the Bureau, 17,114 Nepalis were granted a visitor visa in 2019. Out of them, 1,070 received a B1 B2 visa, 33 received B1 and 11 got B 2 visa.

The visitor visa’s approval rate is slightly higher when compared to the earlier year.

In 2018, 48.47 percent of Nepalis got their visitor visa applications approved.
