US bipartisan delegation meets Minister Gyawali



KATHMANDU: Foreign Minister Pradeep Gyawali on Thursday held talks with a bipartisan delegation of the US Congress in Kathmandu.

The US delegation comprised of Ame Bera, Chair of the Foreign Affairs Sub-Committee on Asia-Pacific and George Holding, Member of House Ways & Means, Budget and Ethics Committees.

In the meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), issues of bilateral interests were discussed, MoFA said.

The US Congressional delegation led by Ami Bera is in Nepal from February 20 to 23, according to the US Embassy in Kathmandu.

According to the US Embassy, the purpose of the trip is to assess US foreign policy and foreign assistance in Nepal.

Meanwhile, the four-member delegation will also meet with government officials, civil society leaders, staff at the US Embassy, and the Millennium Challenge Corporation among others.
