General convention to change leadership: NC leader Koirala

UDAYAPUR: Nepali Congress (NC) central member Dr Shekhar Koirala has said that the 14th general convention of the party will change its central leadership.

Speaking at a program in Udayapur, NC leader Dr Koirala said that NC would play an effective role in safeguarding and consolidating democracy.

Dr Koirala said that factions within the party have weakened NC.

On the occasion, he also urged the government to shun political stubbornness as it would only invite a crisis to democracy.
