Tumbahamphe sworn in as Law Minister



KATHMANDU: Former Deputy Speaker Shiva Maya Tumbahamphe has been sworn in as Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs on Monday.

President Bidya Devi Bhandari administered an oath of office and secrecy to newly-appointed Minister Tumbahamphe at a special function organized at Sheetal Niwas, the President’s Office.

She had resigned from the post after the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) decided to appoint Agni Prasad Sapkota to the post of Speaker.

Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal has been discharging the duties of Law Ministry after Samajwadi Party quit the portfolio.
