Govt appoints Nagendra Sah as NOC chief amid LPG shortage

KATHMANDU: The government has appointed Nagendra Sah as the executive director of the Nepal Oil Corporation amid an ongoing shortage of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) that has forced consumers across the country to queue for cooking gas.

The decision was made during Wednesday’s Cabinet meeting.

According to Chief Secretary Govinda Bahadur Karki, Sah was selected from a shortlist of three candidates recommended by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies through an open competitive process.

Sah is an experienced official who has previously served in various capacities within Nepal Oil Corporation.

He secured the post after competing against Kaushal KC and Sanjiv Kumar Dev in the final selection process.
