BIRENDRANAGAR: Birendranagar that had remained tense for the last three days following a road accident is gradually limping back to normalcy.

The city had remained tensed due to clashes that were ensued after a youth died when a tipper ran over him near Gautam Chowk at Birendranagar Municipality-3 on Tuesday morning.

The family members of the victim reached a five-point agreement with the local administration.

With the agreement to provide compensation to the victim’s family, shops have opened and transportation has resumed in the city.

Curfew was clamped on Tuesday after the town remained tensed throughout the day when clashes ensued between locals and police following the death of the youth.
