India’s 71st Republic Day marked in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: Indian Embassy in Kathmandu on Sunday organized a program to mark the 71st Republic Day of India.

Hoisting the national flag of India, Charge d’ Affaires Dr Ajay Kumar read out the message of Indian President Ram Nath Kovind to the Indian people.

On the occasion, he also felicitated 8 widows, 1 Veer Nari, and 5 next of kins of the deceased soldiers and provided cash of NRs 5.97 crore and a blanket to them.

Likewise, on the occasion, the Indian Embassy gifted 30 ambulances and 6 buses to various hospitals, non-profit charitable organizations and educational institutions of Nepal.

It should be noted that the Government of India has gifted 782 ambulances and 154 buses to various hospitals, non-profit charitable organizations and educational institutions of 77 districts in Nepal so far.
