NEW SOUTH WALES: An aircraft battling wildfires in Australia crashed in New South Wales State today, killing three U.S. residents, authorities have said.

The C-130 firefighting aircraft belonging to a private company crashed in the Snowy Monaro area, international media reports have said.

It had lost contact with one of its large air tankers in the Snowy Monaro region, according to authorities.
