KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli has extended best wishes to all the Nepali at home and abroad on the occasion of Tamu Lhosar, a festival of Gurung community.

Extending the Lhosar greetings, Prime Minister Oli expressed the belief that the festival will foster brotherhood, religious tolerance and national unity among the Nepali people in the country.

Oli mentions that the Gurung community has played important roles in tourism promotion by preserving the country’s cultural heritage.

He said that the Gurung culture has remained an important entity in the national cultures of our country, which is multilingual, multi-religious and multi-cultural.

He further said that the national festivals like Tamu Lhosar have helped promote the aspirations of brotherhood, mutual love, and unity among all Nepalis.

This festival of Gurung community would encourage all to build economically and culturally a prosperous nation by boosting mutual goodwill, the Prime Minister said in his message.
