10 North Koreans deported from Nepal



KATHMANDU: 10 North Koreans staying illegally in Nepal at the protection of the Kathmandu-based North Korean Embassy have been deported on December 15.

The North Koreans, who were illegally staying in Nepal defying the government of Nepal’s instruction to leave the country, were sent to North Korea via China’s Beijing in Himalayan Airlines plane.

The National Investigation Department had taken the initiative to deport those living illegally in Nepal notwithstanding the government’s strict instruction, government sources have said.

Those deported include Kwang Ho (Passport 108331298), Yong M Sin (Passport 108232865), Kyong Yi Ji (108233813), Chang Nam Ryi (Passport 108232809), Un Ha Hwang (Passport 108232867), Kum Yong Jong (Passport 108232850), Sun Hyu Pak (Passport 108232866), Won Myong Kim (Passport 108232811) and Il Ran Holai (Passport 108232871).

Despite the UN Resolutions on North Korea sanctions, a significant number of North Koreans were working illegally in Nepal.
