4 arrested with banned drugs



KASKI: Police have arrested four people with 600 ampoules of narcotic drugs in the district.

Acting on a tip-off that the transaction of banned drug was underway, a squad of police deployed from District Police Office, Kaski apprehended four people with a huge cache of narcotic drugs from Pokhara metropolis-27 on Friday.

The arrested are Gaumati Sunar of Gaidahawa Rural Municipality-8, Rupandehi, Prakash Pun, 36, of Siddhartha Municipality-1, Indian nationals Mahabub Alam, 28, and Baleshwar Prajapati, 34.

Police raided the cache and confiscated 200 ampoules of diazepam, 200 ampoules of phenergan, 200 ampoules of nurphin along with Indian IRs 11, 040 and NRs 3, 245, said police in cash.

Police said they are investigating the case after filing a case against the arrested under the drug trafficking charges.
