Trader arrested for offering bribe to cop

KATHMANDU: A trader has been arrested by the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) for offering a bribe to a Police Inspector.

According to CIAA Spokesperson Pradeep Kumar Koirala, oxen trader Jaharuddin Teli was arrested for offering Rs 15,000 bribe to Police Inspector at Ward Police Office, Syangja.

Teli hails from Basantapur Rural Municipality-4 in Rupandehi district, CIAA said.
