Authorities going against law will face action: Attorney General Kharel

BHADRAPUR: Attorney General Agni Prasad Kharel has warned that any authority going against the law irrespective of position and power will be brought to justice on the basis of evidence.

Inaugurating the new building of the District Attorney Office at Chandragadhi in Jhapa on Sunday, Kharel said that the judicial sector was working towards reinforcing the notion that everybody is equal in the eyes of law.

“No culprit- high-profile or whatsoever- will be spared of action,” he said.

The new 26-roomed building in Jhapa has been constructed in five kattha of land at the cost of over Rs 30.71 million.

It has a library, discussion room, guest house, victim-friendly complaint lodging rooms, among others, according to Keshav Panta, the Chief of the District Attorney Office.
