President calls for alertness to prevent road accidents

KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has said she was stunned by the news of bus accident occurred in Arghakhanchi.

In a Twitter message today, the Head-of-the-State extended condolences to the bereaved families and wished for the speedy recovery of those injured in the accident.

“I feel that all sides concerned need to be aware to prevent vehicular accidents in view of the geographical situation of our country,” the President tweeted.

Nineteen people died and 13 others were injured when a passenger bus crashed in Narpani of Arghakhanchi district on Wednesday.
