30 percent of reconstruction of Dharahara completes



KATHMANDU: Approximately 30 percent of the reconstruction of Dharahara has been completed.

After more than three years of the destruction of the Dharahara by the 2015 earthquake, its reconstruction had begun on December 27, 2018.

The completion deadline for the Rs 3.4 billion project is two years.

The 11-storey Dharahara covering an area of 22 ropani of land will be around 294 feet tall with two elevators.

Plastering the second floor is underway. Around 150 workers, Nepalis and Indians, have been involved in the reconstruction of Dharahara.

According to heritage expert Raju Man Manandhar, the project will be completed within the deadline.
