Tulsipur TRC initiates preliminary investigation into 509 cases



TULSIPUR: The Commission for Truth and Reconciliation (TRC), State 5’s Tulsipur office has started preliminary investigations into 509 cases of human rights violations sent by the central office.

The central office of TRC had sent its Tulsipur office altogether 1,799 such cases of the conflict-era filed by the victims and their families.

Joint Attorney of the Office of Attorney General, Tek Bahadur Ghimire stated that the Commission had received a total of 63,950 cases of human rights violations from the conflict-survivors across the country.

Ghimire said that works in the Commission hit a snag due to a lack of adequate office-bearers.
