BANKE: Private schools and hospitals in Banke have contributed more than Rs 12.5 million to support survivors of the Bhote Koshi floods.
Schools affiliated with the Banke chapter of the Private and Boarding Schools’ Organization Nepal (PABSON) contributed Rs 6.5 million, while private hospitals donated Rs 6.07 million.
According to PABSON Banke Chair Bikas Bajracharya, Rs 5.34 million collected from 77 private and boarding schools in the district has been contributed to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund. The hospitals in the district have contributed Rs 6.07 million to the fund.
Dr. Pratik Shrestha, director of Lifeline General Hospital, told RSS that Nepalgunj Medical College Teaching Hospital and Sanjeevani College of Medical Sciences Pvt. Ltd. contributed Rs 2.4 million each. Fatehbal Eye Hospital in Nepalgunj contributed Rs 511,000, while HCRC Hospital donated Rs 250,000 and Neuro Hospital contributed Rs 116,513.
Similarly, Sagar Hospital Nepalgunj contributed Rs 101,000, while Lifeline General Hospital Nepalgunj donated Rs 100,000, he said.
