Several highways remain blocked across Nepal due to landslides



KATHMANDU: Several highways across the country remain blocked today due to floods and landslides triggered by rainfall.

In Rasuwa, flooding in the Bhotekoshi River has disrupted road connections. Several highways in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, and Dhading, including the Prithvi Highway, have remained closed since Bhadra 10.

Likewise, the Mugu-Gamgadhi road in Mugu, the Shahid Highway in Rolpa, the Karnali Highway in Kalikot and Surkhet, and the Rapti Highway in Salyan remain completely blocked today.

Meanwhile, police said traffic has been managed on the Khurkot-Nepalthok section of the BP Highway, with goods vehicles allowed to operate at night and passenger vehicles during the daytime.
