KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court today has said Limpiyadhura, Lipulekh and Kalapani are integral parts of Nepal.

In an order issued after the hearing on Habeas Corpus, SC mentioned these areas as the area lying under the territory of Nepal.

The SC ruling came as a part of hearing on the habeas corpus writ filed on behalf of the people taken into police custody while protesting against India’s mentioning Limpiyadhura, Lipulekh, and Kalapani as part of it.

After the hearing on the writ, a joint bench of Justice Ishwor Prasad Khatiwada and Justice Kumar Regmi issued the order to release those arrested by the police.

However, another writ relating to India’s inclusion of Limpiyadhura, Lipulekh, and Kalapani in its map is still in lis pendens in Supreme Court.
