Kathmandu Marriott hosts ‘Flavours of Thailand’ food festival

KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Marriott Hotel has launched a special food festival titled “Flavours of Thailand” aimed at bringing authentic Thai cuisine experiences to the capital.

The event, being held at Edamame Restaurant, began on June 15 and will continue until June 25, operating daily from 1 PM onwards.

A key highlight of the festival is Chef Nattawut Ruengsamut, popularly known as Chef On, from Marriott North Pattaya. With over 19 years of experience in Thai, Cantonese, Italian, French, Japanese, and modern Asian fusion cuisine, Chef On is presenting a curated selection of authentic Thai dishes.

The festival menu features a range of Thai delicacies, including seafood starters, rich curries, and aromatic rice dishes. Signature items such as Pla Salmon, lobster preparations, Tom Yum, and Pad Kra Pao are being served, prepared with fresh herbs and traditional spices.

Organisers said the festival aims to bring the vibrant street food culture and rich culinary heritage of Thailand to Kathmandu, offering guests an immersive dining experience.

The hotel has invited guests to take part in this limited-time culinary journey and experience the authentic flavours of Thailand in the heart of the capital.
