BUTWAL: Five newly appointed ministers of Lumbini Province took the oath of office and secrecy on Monday in a cabinet expansion following a recent reshuffle.
Province Chief Krishna Bahadur Gharti Magar administered the oath during a ceremony held at the Office of the Province Chief in Butwal.
The ministers sworn in include Tulsi Prasad Chaudhary (Minister for Agriculture, Land Management and Cooperatives), Dilli Raj Bhusal (Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation), Ramji Prasad Ghimire (Minister for Health), Ratan Bahadur Khatri (Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development), and Bhandarilal Ahir (Minister for Internal Affairs and Law).
The cabinet reshuffle was carried out on the recommendation of Chief Minister Chet Narayan Acharya in accordance with the Constitution of Nepal.
According to officials, the restructured cabinet includes four ministers from the CPN-UML and one from the Janata Samajbadi Party.
The oath-taking ceremony was attended by Chief Minister Acharya, former Chief Minister Jokh Bahadur Mahara, Speaker Tularam Gharti Magar, and Deputy Speaker Menuka Khad K.C., among other dignitaries.
