Gold, silver prices inch up



KATHMANDU: Gold and silver prices saw a modest increase in the domestic market on Tuesday, with gold rising by Rs 400 per tola and silver gaining Rs 70.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of gold has been fixed at Rs 309,900 per tola, while silver is being traded at Rs 5,335 per tola.

On Monday, fine gold was priced at Rs 309,500 per tola and silver at Rs 5,265 per tola. Similarly, on Sunday, gold was traded at Rs 309,400 per tola, while silver stood at Rs 5,270 per tola.

In the international market, gold is currently being traded at around 5,030 US dollars per ounce, while silver is priced at 80 US dollars per ounce, according to international media reports.
