Gold price rises slightly, silver declines in domestic market



KATHMANDU: The price of gold increased slightly in the domestic market on Monday, while silver prices declined, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association.

The federation said gold price rose by Rs 100 per tola, reaching Rs 309,500 per tola. The precious metal had traded at Rs 309,400 per tola the Sunday.

Despite the slight increase, gold prices have dropped by around Rs 30,000 per tola over the past one and a half months.

Meanwhile, the price of silver decreased by Rs 5 per tola on Monday. Silver, which was traded at Rs 5,270 per tola on Sunday, has now been fixed at Rs 5,265 per tola.
