A delegation representing the campaign met Om Prakash Aryal, Minister for Home Affairs, at Singha Durbar on Friday to express gratitude for the government’s role in ensuring the election was conducted smoothly.

The delegation included Bijay Raj Gautam, chairperson of Informal Sector Service Centre (INSEC), and Indra Prasad Aryal, chairperson of the Nepal Human Rights Organization.

According to the campaign, the government played a significant role in ensuring that the election was conducted in a peaceful, fair and orderly manner. It also praised the coordination between the government and the Election Commission Nepal in successfully completing the electoral process.

On the occasion, Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal thanked all stakeholders involved in organizing the election, stating that the collective efforts of government agencies, security forces and administrative bodies helped ensure a peaceful and enthusiastic electoral environment.

“The enthusiasm and active participation shown by voters across the country in conducting the election in a free, fair and fearless environment is highly commendable,” Aryal said, adding that it reflects the public’s firm commitment to democracy.

The campaign also stated that despite challenging circumstances, the role played by the Ministry of Home Affairs in maintaining security and ensuring a dignified and peaceful election process was praiseworthy.
