Firm fined for market irregularities



KATHMANDU: The Department of Commerce, Supplies and Consumer Protection has imposed a fine of Rs 20,000 on a firm following on-site monitoring that revealed irregularities.

Gunjeshwari Trade Link Pvt. Ltd., Kasleshwar, was penalized after the Department identified violations during its inspection. In addition, corrective instructions have been issued to five other firms.

The Department has been actively monitoring businesses and shops dealing with cooking gas and food, in coordination with local authorities and consumer rights activists.
