Sharma urges party leaders to avoid attacking opponents in election campaign

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress Vice President Bishwo Prakash Sharma has urged party leaders and cadres to enter the election campaign without resorting to personal attacks against opponents.

Addressing an election-focused interaction program with party members in Rupandehi on Thursday, Sharma said the party should compete based on its agenda rather than creating hostility or criticizing rival parties.

He stated that the Nepali Congress, which has pledged to ensure good governance, control corruption, and enact necessary laws, must establish itself as the largest party to lead the country.

Sharma claimed that the works accomplished by the Congress in the past are sufficient grounds to seek public support in the upcoming elections.

He added that the party must convey a message of political transformation while heading into the elections with a renewed vision.
