KATHMANDU: Ncell has successfully renewed its prestigious ISO 27001:2022 (Information Security Management System – ISMS) and ISO 27701:2019 (Privacy Information Management System – PIMS) certifications. The renewal reinforces the company’s leadership in information security and data privacy while establishing new standards to strengthen customer trust.
Last year, Ncell became Nepal’s first telecom operator to receive ISMS and PIMS certification. The certifications and their renewal underscore Ncell’s ongoing commitment to safeguarding customer information.
As part of the renewal process, an auditor appointed by an ISO-accredited body conducted a surveillance audit at Ncell. The auditor confirmed that Ncell’s governance processes for information security and data privacy comply with international ISO standards. These certifications are valid for the next one year.
The renewed certifications cover customer data centers, customer service, and IT services, demonstrating that Ncell meets the highest standards in privacy practices.

These international certifications enhance security for customers, assuring them that their personal and sensitive information is securely managed by Ncell. They also confirm that customer data is handled with utmost care and responsibility.
ISO 27001 certification ensures that Ncell has implemented robust measures to protect customer and partner data against cyber threats and unauthorized access. ISO 27701 ensures compliance with international best practices for personal data protection, minimizing risks of breaches and strengthening privacy safeguards.
By adhering to ISO standards, Ncell provides a secure framework for managing customer data according to global benchmarks. These certifications reflect the company’s transparency and accountability, emphasizing that customer trust remains central to its operations.
Ncell’s systems are designed to minimize potential disruptions, mitigate risks, and support business continuity while prioritizing data security and confidentiality across all processes.
