60 stolen motorcycles and scooters handed over



KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office has recovered 60 motorcycles and scooters that had been stolen at different times and handed them over to their respective owners on Friday.

At a program organized at the Kathmandu Valley Police Office, Ranipokhari, Additional Inspector General of Police and Chief of the Kathmandu Valley Police Office Ishwor Karki, along with Chief of the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office and Senior Superintendent of Police Nabaraj Adhikari, jointly handed over 34 motorcycles and 26 scooters to their owners.

Including the vehicles handed over on Friday, the Traffic Police have returned a total of 181 stolen vehicles to their owners since last Shrawan. Additionally, 25 individuals involved in vehicle theft, along with 13 stolen two-wheelers, have been taken into custody and handed over to various police complexes and police circles for necessary legal action, according to Valley Traffic Police Chief SSP Nabaraj Adhikari.

Spokesperson of the Valley Traffic Police Office and Superintendent of Police Naresh Raj Subedi informed that the Traffic Police have recovered 417 two-wheelers in the current fiscal year and 503 two-wheelers in the fiscal year 2081/82, all of which have been returned to their respective owners.

The Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office has urged the public to immediately contact the Traffic Police hotline number 103 or the Nepal Police hotline number 100, and to file a complaint at the nearest police office if their vehicle is lost.
