Around 39 students injured as roof of a school collapses in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: Around 39 students were injured when the roof of Bidhyakunja Secondary School, a Jitpur-based private school at Tarakeswor municipality in Kathmandu collapsed today.

The incident occurred when the students were in their classes.

The injured students were taken to the Medicity Hospital, according to SSP Uttam Raj Subedi, chief of Metropolitan Crime Range Kathmandu.

According to him, the students have sustained minor injuries.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident, he said.
