Two killed in Lalitpur road mishaps



KATHMANDU: Two persons died in separate road accidents in Lalitpur district on Tuesday.

According to police, local Nabin Ghimire died after he was mowed down by a bus, Ba 2 Kha 5009, at Godawari-9, Chunikhel.

SSP Tek Prasad Rai at Metropolitan Police Range, Lalitpur said that Ghimire had fallen from the bus when bus driver applied brakes, adding that they are investigating the case by taking the driver under control.

Likewise, Raj Kumar Tamang, 40, of Sindhupalchowk died after he was hit by a bus, Ba 4 Kha 9055, at Lalitpur-8, Gwarko.

Pedestrian Tamang died on the way to the hospital, police said.
