Update: Durbarmarg inferno contained, no human casualty reported

KATHMANDU: An inferno that broke out at the top floor of a building at Durbarmarg on Sunday evening has been contained.

According to police, the fire that broke out at around 6:30 pm was doused after one and a half hours with the help of fire engines backed by security personnel.

The fire had engulfed the top floor of the building in which Victory Lounge is located. Detail of loss caused by the fire believed to be triggered by an electric short-circuit is yet to be calculated.

No human casualty has been reported.
