24 people including Rabindra Mishra and Durga Prasai remanded for 7 more days



KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu District Court has granted a seven-day remand for Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) senior vice-president Rabindra Mishra and Janakmandar of the Rajabadi Andolan, Durga Prasai, in connection with the recent Tinkune incident.

A total of 24 individuals, including Mishra and Prasai, were presented before the court on Sunday for an extension of their remand.

The incident, which took place on March 28, involved a group led by Prasai and Mishra creating chaos in Tinkune, Kathmandu.

The unrest resulted in the deaths of two individuals and significant damage, including the vandalism and arson of houses, businesses, vehicles, and other properties.

Currently, 85 people are in custody related to the incident, with 61 under investigation for criminal mischief.

Authorities are preparing to prosecute 24 individuals, including Prasai and Mishra, on charges related to crimes against the state.
