Madhav Narayan Municipality ward chair passes away

RAUTAHAT: Ramdeni Mukhiya, the ward chairperson of Madhav Narayan Municipality-4, has passed away at the age of 60.

Mukhiya, who had been battling lung cancer, breathed his last at his residence this morning, according to Madhav Narayan Municipality Mayor Baijnath Yadav.

Elected from the CPN-Maoist in the 2022 local elections, he was serving his second consecutive term as ward chairperson.

His passing follows the deaths of three other ward chairpersons from Gadhimai, Rajapur, and Ishanath municipalities in Rautahat.

By-elections were held recently to fill those vacant positions.
