Prime Minister Oli visits Skywalk Tower in Kamaladi

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has visited the Skywalk Tower in Kamaladi on Wednesday.

Marking Democracy Day, he hoisted Nepal’s national flag at the top of the tower and described it as an attractive destination suitable for people of all ages, from children to the elderly.

Accompanied by his wife, Radhika Shakya, and members of his secretariat, the Prime Minister toured the site on the public holiday. According to Bishnu Hari Pandey, Managing Director of Skywalk Tower, Oli’s visit has boosted confidence in the tourism sector. During the visit, he also had snacks at the Sky Restaurant on the 22nd floor.

The tower, standing 78.5 meters tall, features a glass skywalk at a height of 65 meters. It is the only destination in Kathmandu where visitors can walk on glass floors for an adventurous experience. The project has an investment of around Rs. 2 billion.

From the Skywalk, landmarks like Rani Pokhari and Ghantaghar appear to be right in front. The 25-story tower has elevators up to the 22nd floor, with stairs leading to the remaining three levels. It has two elevators, each capable of transporting more than 45 people at a time.

The 25th floor is the adventure deck, where visitors can walk on a glass-covered floor, creating an illusion of walking in open space.
