World’s longest and tallest ‘Megatroll’ begins operation in Parbat

PARBAT: The world’s tallest and longest ‘Megatroll’ has officially come into operation at ‘The Cliff’ in Kushma.

Standing 225 meters tall and stretching 1,228 meters long, the Megatroll is fast becoming a major attraction for adventure tourism.

The Megatroll ride starts from a tower at The Cliff premises in Balewa and ends at another tower below Kushma Bazaar.

It can accommodate up to three riders at a time, and guests can choose to ride solo or with companions, according to Raju Karki, Chairperson of The Cliff.

Typically, the Megatroll operates at a speed of 140 kilometers per hour, although the speed can be adjusted. The ride takes between seven to twelve minutes to complete the distance.

Karki stated that Rs 40 million has been invested in the operation of the Megatroll.

Construction began one year ago, and it became commercially operational on Thursday after a successful test run two weeks ago.

“Riders will have the chance to enjoy breathtaking views of the Kaligandaki River. We are excited to offer this new adventure sport to tourists and believe it will significantly contribute to the region’s socio-economic development alongside tourism,” Karki shared.

The fare for a solo ride on the Megatroll is set at Rs 4,000, while a group of three can ride together for Rs 9,500.

Karki also mentioned that other attractions, including an adventurous swimming pool, are under construction.

The number of tourists visiting the area has grown significantly, especially following the blacktopping of the Kaligandaki Corridor and the Mid-Hill Highway.
