Agriculture Minister Chakrapani Khanal discharged from hospital

KATHMANDU: Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development Chakrapani Khanal has been discharged from the Tokha-based Grande Hospital on Monday.

Minister Khanal underwent treatment for dengue during his five-day stay at the hospital.

Minister Khanal was admitted on last Wednesday after he was diagnosed with dengue. He had complained of high fever and headache following his return from Hetauda.

Mosquito-borne dengue virus, which was first detected in Sunsari in April, has spread in 48 districts so far.

Some six people have died and a total of 2, 559 people have been infected with dengue virus in the last one and a half months, according to Epidemiology and Disease Control Division.
